Czech Republic – Flying Solo

One of the values that our missionary personnel are guided by is to train leadership and then leave a particular ministry in their hands.  This is what Jason and Andrea Morrison have done in Brno, Czech Republic.  They spent the last two years building up the student ministry team there and now this year, the team is “flying solo”.  Jason said that two years ago they were lucky to have 10-15 people at a meeting.  However, the ministry has grown as related in this wonderful report to him that came from the student leader there, Jakub.

“Great things have been happening at the youth group.  At one one meeting, there were two brothers visiting from China who spoke to the group.  Many guests came to hear them, some of whom were unbelievers, as well as some Christians from other churches.  The room which holds 125 people comfortably was packed.  Two people made a decision for Christ; one who had visited last year, and another girl to whom we had given an invitation during our street outreach.

At the last youth meeting, there were 40 people, many of them guests, unbelievers.  We now have a new worship team and people are actively joining and participating in worship.  I am also having many conversations with people about Christ.  We, as a group, have made a film for the national youth convention.

Finally, we just announced to the youth that we want to take a missions trip to Spain in July,  Two people have already signed up.”

The Morrisons rejoice to hear such news from those they have raised up for leadership.
