“Three nights of revival services. The adults were in the main hall, while I was in my normal place…with the children.” These are the words of Kerri Brammeier, AGWM personnel in Austria. “The first night there were about 8 kids and 12 toddlers. The kids were quite active so it seemed like what I was sharing was bouncing off their ears instead of going into their ears and down to their hearts.
“Night two brought 20 kids and 12 toddlers. I began by explaining to the kids that we needed to start with praise and worship so that our hearts could become open to hearing God’s Word. After praise and worship, I began to share the lesson but never got to the lesson I had planned as God had something else he wanted me to share with those children. For the next 40 minutes, the lesson continued with the kids being very attentive, asking questions and participating. I ended the time with prayer…a quiet time for the children to spend with God. The kids got up and found quiet places and began to pray.
“As I went around praying for the kids individually, I had the chance to pray with two, specifically to receive Jesus as their Savior. Afterwards, I continued to have a discussion with a 9-year-old boy who would give his life to Christ that night. His mom came to take him home while we were still talking and when I told her what was happening, tears welled up in her eyes as she said, ‘Never mind. I will wait. God is answering my prayers tonight!’”
