-THE POWER OF PARTNERSHIP-

Partnership is a wonderful way to move the gospel forward in a country. The partnership, however, needs to be healthy and functional. Fortunately, the Lord is helping us partner in many countries throughout Europe, thus helping us to fulfill our mission statement: “To accelerate the spread of the gospel and model the integrity of New Testament missionaries.” 

A few examples of partnership currently in action can be found in The Netherlands and Spain.

In The Netherlands, missionary Robby Bradford partnered with the general secretary of the Dutch Assemblies of God, Sebastiaan van Wessem.  Together, they started an international church in the city of Hilversum (this city is like the Dutch Hollywood). Robby assembled a team of able American missionary associates and partnered with Sebastiaan in prayer and preparation for months to lay the foundation of this new work. By the grace of God the church opened on Easter Sunday 2006. Several hundred people were present at the inaugural service. Now the church is touching hundreds of people weekly and on track to be a powerhouse for God in the country of Holland. 

Historically, Spain has been a difficult mission field for the Assemblies of God in terms of relationships, missionary attrition, and planting churches. However, through concerted efforts of partnership, and the grace of God, it is a new day in Spain. The partnership is working through the combined labors of the Spanish Assemblies of God leadership and the missionary body. The proof, so to speak, is “in the pudding.” This past year in Spain, seven new churches were started in a country of 40 million people with less than 200 Assemblies of God churches. God is at work, and an element He is using is partnership.

Partnership is not only viable in overseas’ relationships but also in the United States. We partner with you, our readers, to keep you informed on what is happening throughout Europe via the Assemblies of God. Your partnership includes the viable contribution of prayer, as well as financial support, for this vast and multifaceted ministry. Your partnership is absolutely essential in assuring that the gospel will be preached.
