The Vision
My wife Sandie and I have been traveling in Europe over the past 17 days.
As of the writing of this particular Eye on Europe Update, we are in the mountains near Lyon, France, that overlook a valley and an old chateau. We’re here with the France field missionaries who have come together for a retreat.
We have been blessed with the presence of the Lord and with testimonies of how God has been working in this country.
One testimony sticks out in my mind. Our missionary pastor from Paris shared about an emotionally and psychologically troubled woman who desperately prayed to God for help. She had a vision that someone on a plane would come and invite her to a place where people could help her.
Soon after, a short-term missionary team, which had flown from the United States, came to do an outreach ministry with the church in Paris. They were on the streets passing out Light for the Lost literature, and the troubled French woman met one of the team members. They gave her a tract and invited her to church.
She felt God was answering her prayer, so she came to church that night. As the church service began and the congregation began to sing about Jesus, demons began to manifest in this woman. The church service continued, and she was escorted into a room where these demons were cast out. To the glory of God she received Christ as her Savior and has been coming to the church, along with her family.
It’s hard to imagine that even in a civilized, Western country like France, incidents of this type still occur. However, the fact is spiritually-bound people are everywhere, and they need to be freed.
Thank God for missionaries Henry and Karen Linderman and the ministry of this church in Paris. After being blocked for 20 years from being able to get into a new facility, God is presenting a new opportunity, and they are presently looking for new facilities.
Just as God answered this woman’s prayer, please pray that the church’s need for a new facility will be met and that government permissions will be granted.
Thanks for praying for our missionaries.
Sincerely,
Greg Mundis
