A
group of college-age students from a program called
Generation Training Center based in the Northwest District
of the Assemblies of God arrived in Larkhall, Scotland
on June 18. This was the group's third year to visit
Scotland; the second time to Larkhall. In the week they
were in Larkhall, this drama team ministered in eight
different primary schools and twice in the high school.
They also ministered in three after school and one lunch
hour extra curricular setting.
The drama performance done by Generation
Training Center consists of different human videos showing
Christs life, as well as dramas depicting the struggle
between good and evil. Children and teens were extremely
responsive to the teams work and character. Each afternoon
during the lunch hour at the high school, the team would
go to the Snack Shop.
As the teens filed down the street to get their lunch,
divine appointments took place as the kids interacted
and shared with each other.
At one after school event, ten young
people responded when the team invited the youth to
accept Christ into their life. Two days later on Sunday,
three of those that responded were filled with the Holy
Spirit as recorded in the Bible, Acts 2. Even though
the message presented did not focus on the experience
of being filled with the Holy Spirit, these young people
were so hungry and open for whatever God had for them.
Ten
more of them accepted Christ into their lives at an
evening service. One young man was also filled with
the Holy Spirit as the team met to say their goodbyes.
These new members of Gods family are now ready for being
discipled in the ways of living for the Lord.
