Prisoner Ministers to Prisoner

AUGUST 1, 2005

Prison in BelgiumGod is at work saving lives from all over the world in the prisons of Belgium. The testimony of a prisoner from China, Lee Ho gives witness of the change God has made in his life. Before his arrival in prison, he, his wife, and his parents in China were all atheists. But that all changed for him since he was put in the same cell with a born-again Christian named Pacheko. From the moment they were put in the same cell, Pacheko began telling him about his Savior and friend, Jesus Christ, and how he, too could accept him into his life. They began talking about Jesus at noon, and by 6 PM, Lee was convinced that he needed to accept Jesus into his life as Lord and Savior. He did just that. A few days later, Pacheko was set free.

Then Assemblies of God missionary, Ken Barickman visited Lee and heard his testimony. Barickman gave him a Bible, a Bible study and some Christian literature. They then prayed together, thanking God for his salvation and the touch of the Holy Spirit on his life. What an inspiration it was to see that the prisoners themselves are winning other prisoners to Christ. There are many more waiting to hear the Good News of Christ for the first time. This is Ken Barickman's goal in his prison ministry in Belgium.
