Larry and Melinda Henderson, AGWM personnel serving as the pastors of the International Church on Grand Canary report that eight people were baptized recently in the Canary Islands, proclaiming their faith in Jesus as their Savior.  As the congregation gathered around an inflatable pool, those who had accepted the Lord began to share of the life change Jesus had made in each of them.  One by one they professed their faith in Christ and their desire to be true followers of Him and true examples of His love.  The tears flowed as their hearts overflowed with gratitude for the precious gift of salvation that had been received.

Luz who came to the Lord through an English-as-a-second-language class, said that since the day she was baptized, she has been different.  God showed her through a dream that she was to work for Him.  When she questioned God how she could work for him when she needed to provide for her son, Jesus lovingly responded in her heart, "Do not worry about your son.  I will be your provider."  Her son was baptized as well as his once Buddhist father looked on.  His father now says, "I want to be a disciple of Jesus and not Buddha."  He has removed every Buddhist idol from their home.

June (name changed) was a former prostitute.  She had made her living on the streets of the capital city.  But God has changed all that.  She said, "I wake up each morning and I am thinking about the Lord.  I want my life to be full of Him and I want my house to be full of His Spirit."
          
A family of three was baptized together; mother, son and daughter.  The mother was living in prostitution.   Her grandmother in Brazil had taken to her an Assemblies of God church when she was small and has continued to pray for her over the years.  The family has now been changed.  They have brought over 15 new people to the church in just a few short weeks.  This mother says, "My only talent is to gain souls for the Lord's Kingdom."  God is using her talent!
