 The International Christian Center of Brussels, Belgium hosted an International Friendship Festival on the church grounds in the month of June. The organizers commented that "the Lord honored the efforts of the committee and volunteers who worked hard."
About 500 people attended and participated. Among them were many first-time visitors from the community. Invitations in French, Flemish, and English were printed and distributed by the church members to specific friends and acquaintances in the weeks preceding the event.
 Special invitations were also made to the residents of the immediate neighborhood of the church. Besides visitors from the nearby community, there were also visitors from cities further away.
The organizers are thanking God for a miracle concerning the weather. While it was pouring with heavy rain in the adjoining town of Waterloo and in Brussels proper, the sun was shining in Rhode Saint Genese where the festival took place.
 There were many activities at the festival; special play equipment for the children, pony rides, games for adults, sports, music, food, a flea market and a message preached regarding friendship. All required a lot of work and volunteers. Spiritual results of this effort were evident in that some decisions were made to accept Jesus into their lives, others requested prayer, and others gave their addresses desiring follow-up contacts from the church.
Everyone involved was so happy with the outcome and the realization of the favor of the Lord on the event. Many asked, "When is the next festival?"
