Mike Chandler, AGWM personnel in Croatia gives an enthusiastic report on an exciting event held recently in Zagreb.

"Beyond our expectation!!!  The Srcokret (Heart Turning) Youth conference held in Zagreb, Croatia was a huge success with 1200 to 1300 in attendance. 1050 registered but many more showed up!  Ingolf Ellssel from Germany was the main speaker.  Anthony Skinner and his band came from Franklin, Tennessee for this first-ever Christian concert on Zagreb's main Ban Jelacic Square!  He glorified Jesus to an estimated crowd of 3000-4000 persons.   His music and life-changing testimony definitely made an impact! 

Ben and Sheena George came from Redding, California and taught and demonstrated Power Evangelism during a two-day workshop with follow up ministry in city squares. Their sessions were exceptionally good and young people were equipped to take the presence of Jesus with them to the streets!  It was wonderful to be a part of this great event!

We feel this is a beginning for many good things to develop in the coming years!   Everyone who was part of the leadership of this event feels strongly that this was a breakthrough.  Something of this nature has never been done before in this part of Europe.  Getting over 1000 young people together from five of the seven former Yugoslavian countries was a remarkable feat in itself.  Lives were touched, encouraged, and changed! There has been a shift...and leadership feels things are a bit different now.  We have shown these amazing young people that we believe in them!   A new generation of leaders is rising....with faith to believe that a new day has dawned...and it will be good!"
