 Harvey and Maria Skinner, AGWM personnel in Italy, recently made a trip to Albania to give a series of seminars in the port city of Durres. With a car full of luggage and equipment, they planned to take the ferryboat from Italy to Durres. After driving the car into the ferry, Harvey had to walk out of the boat and go up the ramp to the passenger cabins. Some oil was on the auto ramp, and he suddenly slipped, falling hard on his back with the fingers of his right hand being twisted almost completely backwards.
Harvey said his first thought was that God must have something good ahead as Satan was attacking in this way. Before coming, they had prayed that the trip might be a blessing.
 The boat officials were very kind, doing what they could to help, as well as promising to write a letter for the insurance and to help arrange for an x-ray in Durres. Because of the accident, the Skinners met a number of the workers on the boat as well as other passengers. One Albanian lady talked to the Skinners for a long time, and later Maria went to her room where she shared the gospel with her. The women accepted Christ. She stated, "I feel so liberated now" after inviting Jesus into her life.
After arriving in Durres, the captain of the ferry who was a woman came up to give the information for the x-ray. As she was talking with the Skinners, she had tears in her eyes, and she told them she had just received news that her father in Croatia was about to die. The Skinners hugged her, prayed for her and her father, and prayed that she would be able to see her father again. On the return trip, a week later, they received a beautiful letter that the captain had left for them, telling her whole life story and about how moved she was by the simple act of their showing love and praying for her in her time of need.
And all of these opportunities to share Christ's love came because of an accident!
