Image 33, a youth ministry operated by VOSMT (Bible School) graduates, organized an evangelism event in cooperation with the local churches in the city of Cesky Tesin, Czech Republic. The goal of the event was to impact the city with various activities throughout an entire week.
An average day started by handing out invitations to students at local schools before their classes began. Then at 10 AM, the team would have a prayer meeting. After lunch, there were evangelization activities, most of which took place in public places such as the city square, playgrounds, streets, etc. Here the Bible School students could apply what they had been studying. The activities included sports, creative arts, and dance. Their goal was to gain contact and eventually build relationships with local people. This takes much persistence, love and creativity.
Later in the day, the evangelization program continued with three tea rooms (the Czech parallel to an American coffee shop) set up around the city. Also there was an information tent set up along with a musical stage. Lectures also took place throughout the week in the public schools along with relationship-building discussions in the afternoon with local students.
Throughout the week, volunteers from local churches participated along with the Bible School students. On Friday of that week, about 400 volunteers from all over the country joined with the local teams and the students.
On Saturday, the teams took part in a huge cleaning project, cleaning the city. This was a great way to serve the city in a practical way and to show Christ's love. More evangelization activities again followed in the afternoon and evening. The entire evangelization festival culminated in Sunday services in the local churches which helped to organize the entire week of activities.
