Rick and Patti Roberts, AGWM personnel
in Albania, share these personal communications from
members of their congregation. God is at work in developing
spiritual leadership in these lives which then accelerates
the growth of God's church.
ERALDA,
a 30-year-old doctor relates that she read a book
about women praying. It showed her the importance
of prayer and opened her mind and understanding. She
said, "It has made me thirsty for more in my
own personal prayer life as well as in the life of
the church." The congregation has become active
in sharing Jesus, a group recently having gone out
into the streets.
On Wednesday, Eralda is having Bible studies with
teenage girls at an orphanage. She says, "I always
had a desire to meet with them and invest into their
lives. Edi and Kujtim are studying the Bible with
the teenage boys at the orphanage, too. Three weeks
ago, the teenagers at the home arranged for an evangelistic
program for their friends and neighbors. Some sang
some Christian songs, then performed a drama on the
story of the Good Samaritan from the Gospels, played
games, read a story from the Bible, and gave out Bible
story booklets to the children. The event ended with
cakes and drinks. I was blessed to see these teenagers
active for the Lord."
EDI
is a member of the church worship team. He writes,
"It is very important to know who we are in God
so that we may fully live for Him. Bona (Edi's wife)
led Klara to the Lord. Klara's best friend is Aurora.
They are both excellent medical students. Klara has
been praying for Aurora to become a believer in Jesus,
but she has been skeptical about the resurrection
of Christ. Klara introduced us to Aurora and we talked
for three hours with her. At the end of our conversation,
she decided to accept Christ into her life. Now we
are meeting every week for Bible studies. Aurora is
very interested to know more from the Bible and Bona
is pleased about her great desire and hunger to know
more of the Lord."
