Kilometer Zero, the ongoing evangelistic outreach in the center of Madrid, Spain, hosted a recent evangelistic concert. Maritza, one of the leaders of the Kilometer Zero ministry, has written and sings many songs with a message of salvation through Christ. Her indoor concert in an old rented theater in the heart of the city was very effective.
The Kilometer Zero team invited their family and friends to celebrate Maritza's new CD. That evening, for 75 minutes, those attending heard the Gospel message many times as Maritza sang and gave testimonies. It was not a light Gospel, or cheap grace, or an easy "believe-ism". It was a direct, aimed-at-the-heart, full-of-compassion Gospel.
Jacob Bock, the founder/director of Kilometer Zero, gave a call for repentance at the end of the concert. One girl screamed out in desperation as she embraced Christ into her life. Many others were touched and convicted of sin. Jesus was lifted up.
Maritza has since written other songs and is planning another CD soon.
