Communicating Christ
to Post-Christians
Kirk talking with a student at the book table

“I read the book you gave me about the Resurrection of Christ...I'm not persuaded, you got anything else?
So began my conversation with a student named “Frank” on campus this past month while doing an outreach. He is studying theology and thinks there might be a God. The Berlin campuses are full of thousands of students like Frank who are not actively seeking God, but He is seeking them.

Sharing Christ on today's campus is a challenging task. Over 75% do not even believe in God. The vast majority think they know all about Christianity and have dismissed it completely. The students need to first be convinced of the credibility of Christianity before they will listen to you talk about the Christ of Christianity. One tool helping us bridge the gap between God and these students is our questionnaire. We ask the students a series of questions allowing them to share what they think on a given subject.

Then we have the opportunity to share what we believe. We then give them an evangelistic book or a Bible, provided by Light for the Lost. LFTL monies are collected by AG Men's Ministries across the country to provide us with evangelistic materials.

“Frank” came back to our table, telling me that he was reading the Bible on CD-ROM that we gave him. He had also burned 3 copies of it for friends. He said he wasn't convinced yet, but would keep reading.

Please pray for “Frank” and thousands like him that need to hear. Pray that he will be convicted by the Holy Spirit as he reads God's Word. Pray that God will help us communicate His truth to a culture that no longer knows what the definition of the word “truth” is. Pray with us that God will melt hardened hearts and lead us to those who are open and hungry.
