John and Crista Bailey, AGWM Personnel in Cork City, Ireland, share the following testimony of God's power to transform lives.
 Thomas is a man in his mid-forties living in Cork. As a young lad, he was raised in an abusive home and fell into addictions to cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs. In his twenties he made a profession of faith in Christ, but still walked in bondage to his addictions. He would go from place to place, attend churches for a while and then leave, becoming very desperate, depressed and lonely. He had a reputation in the city as a street person, drunk, and addict.
A few months ago, he happened to come to the Donnybrook Pentecostal Church. At the end of the service when people were worshipping God in the presence of the Holy Spirit, Thomas who was sitting in the back became faint. He fell flat on the ground. Two doctors in the church immediately went to help him. Both doctors diagnosed that he had ceased breathing and had no pulse, so they began administering CPR. After a short time of CPR, Thomas was completely revived. He actually got up and walked away! He then came into the church offices and once again, was prayed for that he would believe God to deliver him from his addictions. Thomas was touched in a powerful way by God.
Then very recently at a prayer meeting, Thomas gave God praise for delivering him from alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes ever since God raised him from the dead. We don't know for sure what the medical issues were, but the greatest miracle that happened that day was how Thomas was set free in a powerful way! The people in his slum community are amazed, the vendors and people in the city are amazed, and his family and friends are amazed that Thomas is sober, happy, clean and full of Christ! Only Jesus Christ can make dead men (physically or spiritually) live!
